Some also have released gaseous substances. Many appear at random and others appear regularly in the same places. Some can be active for years at a time. In an article by Linda Moulton Howe, she quotes a witness who saw a bright light that seemed to come up out of the ground after he and a friend entered a large crop formation known as the Galaxy in 1994: "It was so bright, it lit up the hills in the background. It was bluish-white in color and about as big as the formation, fifty to sixty meters wide. The bright light formed some sort of cloud and it changed shape continuously as it hovered over the formation. After a couple of seconds, it rose at slow speed and disappeared into the darkness. My friend and I were totally flabbergasted!" On the darker side there have been several unpleasant experiences such as fear, uneasiness and sadness; " I felt bowled over, brain-washed, disturbed, irritable but elated." " All three of us found ourselves `addictively gripped. We were `enchanted` or `englamoured` in a manner which seems to resemble the experiences reported from folklore in which mortal man makes the mistake of engaging with the faery folk!" Some claim their menstrual cycles have been affected while others say they have literally been knocked off their feet. People aren't the only ones affected. According to "Crop Circles: A Deeper Look" from the Foundation for Paranormal Research, "one researcher allowed his dog to enter a newly formed circle. The dog became violently ill and vomited for about an hour afterward. Sheep in the area go into a frenzy." Another witness testified: "During a third visit into the main Chiseldon formation in 1996 I encountered a couple who couldn't understand why their normally placid cat suddenly became agitated the moment he crossed the threshold of the formation. He protested and looked around frantically for a way out. Once outside he was back to his normal self." - poltergeist activity have plagued some crop circle researchers and people living in haunted houses and after visiting some crop circles. Colin Andrew experienced security alarms going off for unexplained reasons in his home after bringing home crop samples. A policeman recently in England near a crop circle near Silbury Hill, Wiltshire, encountered three strange beings with blond hair and jump suits who ran away from him and disappeared. A very significant event has occurred within the Alert date period and also the defined location: i.e.: 7th July 2009, Silbury Hill, Wiltshire, England. Crop Circle located south west of the hill off the A4 highway. This is the same location where on the 23 May 1994, four researchers (including one nuclear scientist) visiting a crop design in this field, witnessed intense military presence moments before they each experienced 45 minutes missing time and within a short while a further period of missing time. Each had red marks appear on their necks and had severe nose bleeds hours later. A full account is held in CPR Archive. This is also the site of a secret military stake out which took place during the 1990 Operation Blackbird, where over these fields a large unidentified white orb was filmed by the army present. The latest bizarre event took place yesterday morning (7th) at approximately 5.0 AM, when a Wiltshire Police Sergeant was driving in his private car towards Marlborough on the A4 highway and about to pass Silbury Hill on his left. He looked to his right and witnessed three exceptionally tall beings inspecting the new crop circle which appeared there on the 5th July. He stopped his vehicle and watched them for several minutes because they stood out as odd. Each of them were well over six feet tall, each had blond hair and also they all were wearing one piece white suites, with hoods that had been dropped onto the back of their heads. After a few minutes watching them, he said they were appeared to be examining the crop in the circle, he shouted at them from a distance of about 400 yards but they ignored him. As soon as he entered the field, they became aware of him and ran at an amazing speed to the south, away from Silbury Hill. He said I recognised that I could never catch up with them they ran so exceptionally fast. He glanced away for just a few seconds and looked back to find that they had completely vanished. He became very uneasy and left the scene. The police officer was very aware of hearing a static crackling sound in the field and around him. He said as the plants moved around, he could see the movement coincided with the level of sound, as if the static was effecting the plants by moving them. He also started to experience a headache in the field, which became worse as the day went on and he could not shake it off all day. GORDON RUTTER explores the legends and lore of this mysterious phenomenon, as well the various explanations which have been offered to account for it. Fairy rings are, and always have been, a lot more common than today�s more famous crop circles, but originally their origins were as mysterious and ascribed to similar causes. Usually, a fairy ring is visible as a noticeable circle appearing in grass. Some rings are formed by a luxuriant growth, taller and of a darker green than the grass at their centre. Others seem to be the opposite: a patch of poorly-growing grass or even bare earth in a circular pattern. When both types combine, the luxuriant growth has an area of bare ground as an inner circle. We now know that fairy rings are actually produced by fungi � see panel but this was not always the case. As the common name for the phenomenon implies, they were widely explained as the result of a gathering of fairies that ended with a circular dance. Such was the energy used in their dancing that the ground was permanently marked. This gives rise to some of the other common names given to fairy rings, including fairy dances, fairy courts, fairy walks and fairy grounds. In Sussex, fairy rings were called �hag tracks�, while in Devonshire it was believed that fairies would catch young horses in the night and ride them round in circles. The dishevelled state of livestock in the morning was often attributed to being �hag-ridden�. The perils of straying into a fairy ring terrified rural folk in 17th century England, as evidenced by an incident recorded by the antiquarian John Aubrey (1626�97). Writing in 1663, he tells us that his curate, Mr Hart, was out walking over the local downs one night when, as he approached a known fairy ring, he was surprised to see �a quantity of pygmies, or very small people, dancing round and round, and singing and making all manner of small odd noises.� Seemingly paralysed, Mr Hart could only stand and observe until, eventually, the little folk observed him. They rushed towards him and surrounded him, causing him to fall over. On the ground, the small creatures swarmed all over him, pinching him and making tiny, rapid humming noises. Eventually, they withdrew and, when day broke, Hart discovered himself in the middle of the fairy ring. He was lucky. Fairylore is full of stories of careless trespassers whisked off to fairyland, returning the following day to find some 20 years have elapsed, or forced to dance in the circular revel until some faithful friend comes to the rescue. Shakespeare was aware of many of the folkloric aspects of fairy rings. For example, in The Tempest (Act V, scene i), Prospero declaims: �You demi-puppets that By moonshine do the green sour ringlets make, Whereof ewe not bites; and you, whose pastime Is to make midnight mushrooms�� Rural folk observed that their livestock often found the grass from fairy rings to be unpalatable (Shakespeare�s �green sour ringlets�), while some thought it was actually poisonous. It is amusing to note that one of the earliest explanations for crop circles was originally applied to fairy rings. It was said � perhaps partly in jest � that amorous hedgehogs chase each other round and round in circles until mating ensues, causing the grass to be heavily trampled. This certainly made sense of those rings that looked like circular tracks of bare earth. A subterranean variation, in the 1700s, blamed moles racing round in underground circular tunnels, their f�ces promoting the grass growth above. Presumably those rings composed of both luxuriant growth and bare earth were combinations of cattle feeding above while hedgehogs ran rampant below! The circular movement of other animals was implicated by association: horses and goats tied to a stake; starlings swooping in great circular motions; and ants or snails in majestic circular processions. One 18th-century author recounted how he sat and watched ants marching around in circles for 30 minutes, with each ant completing 20 laps in this manner. Even the slime from snails was blamed as engendering loathsome toadstools by a kind of spontaneous generation. An interesting variation on the bare earth fairy rings comes from the Austrian Tyrol, where it was thought to be earth scorched by a dragon. However, just why a dragon should fly in tight circles is not explained. In Denmark, it used to be thought that elves were made of hot stuff and so the earth was scorched as they danced round in circles. In The Netherlands, the heat came from Old Nick himself. During the night, the Devil would be abroad collecting milk from cows, storing it in a massive churn which he carried around with him. Even the Devil had to rest, and when he placed the churn, heated by the fires of Hell, on the ground, it left the distinctive circular scorch mark. Explanations from France and Germany invoke witchcraft. Called �ronds de sorci�res� and �Hexenrings� respectively, they are caused by sorcerers or witches dancing round in circles (in Germany, specifically on Walpurgis Night). French folklore holds that an enormous toad with bulging eyes squats in the centre of every fairy ring, a thing to be feared by country peasants. Fairy rings were credited with magical properties beyond the common fairy connection; for example, associations with prophecy, fortune-telling and luck. In the West Country and Scotland, it is said that a maiden can improve her looks by bathing her face in dew collected on a May morning; but if the dew is collected from inside a fairy ring, or if she stands in a fairy ring to collect or apply the dew, then her appearance is turned into that of an old crone, complete with spots and blemishes. Some farmers regard the presence of a fairy ring on their property as a sign of good luck or as a marker of treasure � treasure which can only be found with the help of witches or fairies. In some regions, stepping into a fairy ring will bring good luck; in others, it will bring misfortune. It�s always wise to check up on local folklore when venturing out, just to be on the safe side. ... Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, a firm believer in the existence of fairies, could not fully let go of the old beliefs associated with fairy rings. While admitting they were simply a fungal growth, he wrote (in The Coming of the Fairies, 1923): �It might be asserted and could not be denied that the rings once formed, whatever their cause, would offer a very charming course for a circular ring-a-ring dance. Certainly from all time these circles have been associated with the gambols of the little people.� According to a website about fairy lore and orgins: In the lore of Scandinavia, Scotland, and Ireland, when God cast out the arrogant angels from heaven, they became the evil spirits that plague mankind, tormenting us and inflicting us with harm. The ones who fell into hell and into caves and abysses became devils and death-maidens. However, those who fell onto the earth became goblins, imps, dwarfs, thumblings, alps, noon-and-evening- ghosts, and will-o'-the-wisps. Those who fell into the forests became the wood-spirits who live there: the hey-men, elves, the wild-men, the forest-men, the wild-women, and the forest-women. Finally, those who fell into the water became water spirits: water-men, mermaids, and merwomen. These angels were condemned to remain where they were, becoming the faeries of seas and rivers, the earth, and the air. The belief in fairies was once common throughout Scotland -- Highland and Lowland. It is now much less prevalent even in the Highlands and Islands, where such beliefs linger longer than they do in the Lowlands. But it still lives among the old people, and is privately entertained here and there even among younger people; and some who hold the belief declare that they themselves have seen fairies. Various theories have been advanced as to the origin of [85] fairies and as to the belief in them. The most concrete form in which the belief has been urged has been by the Rev. Robert Kirk, minister of Aberfoyle, in Perthshire. (1) Another theory of the origin of fairies I took down in the island of Miunghlaidh (Minglay); and, though I have given it in Carmina Gadelica, it is sufficiently interesting to be quoted here. During October 1871, Roderick Macneill, known as 'Ruaraidh mac Dhomhuil, then ninety-two years of age, told it in Gaelic to the late J. F. Campbell of Islay and the writer, when they were storm-stayed in the precipitous island of Miunghlaidh, Barra :-- 'The Proud Angel fomented a rebellion among the angels of heaven, where he had been a leading light. He declared that he would go and found a kingdom for himself. When going out at the door of heaven the Proud Angel brought prickly lightning and biting lightning out of the doorstep with his heels. Many angels followed him -- so many that at last the Son called out, "Father! Father! the city is being emptied!" whereupon the Father ordered that the gates of heaven and the gates of hell should be closed. This was instantly done. And those who were in were in, and those who were out were out; while the hosts who had left heaven and had not reached hell flew into the holes of the earth, like the stormy petrels. These are the Fairy Folk -- ever since doomed to live under the ground, and only allowed to emerge where and when the King permits. Friendsmania.net report Predication of future with certainty is not possible for any human being. It is Allah, the Creator of the Worlds who knows best. Man can only interpret His signs. Sun is one of them. The book, �Cosmology and the Human Destiny�� was published in 1998 where I developed certain rules and regulations to predict the general overall situation in the world from the knowledge of the sunspot activity. These rules were derived from the statistical analysis of the historical events on earth with respect to the corresponding sunspot activity. For the sake of name, we may call these �SBM Rules� for prediction of futures from sunspot prediction (See Chapter-4). The idea is that if solar behaviour can be predicted then on this basis we could predict the future on earth also. It is like weather fore casting. Using the available predictions of NASA about Cycle-23 (1996-2007), I tried to gauze in the future of mankind for this period. That was putting the SBM rules to test. Time has proven the validation of these rules with remarkable accuracy. I started serious research on this subject in 1992, after reading in a new paper that very unusual events of failure of electricity in New York, USA and Quebec in Canada were probably caused by the high solar magnetic storms in those days. My thesis was, if solar storms can influence working of our computers then why should they not affect the working of human mind, consequently, the human behavior. After all, our brains are far more sensitive than the electronic gadgetry. In those days I was extremely busy in my official assignments and needed a hobby for my spare times to keep my mind fresh. Thus I began to study the world history with reference to sunspot activity; and in the process tried to develop some relationship between sunspot activity and corresponding important historical events. Consequently, the rules given in the chapter-4 of this book were arrived at. According to these rules, SBM Crisis Factor is directly proportional to the product of the maximum sunspot value, time above 80% of the maximum activity, and fall period from maximum to the beginning of the next cycle; and is inversely proportional to the rise time from the minimum to the maximum of the predicted cycle. However, it magnifies many times in the spring and autumn months when magnetic effects of Sun and earth get integrated together. For the sake of reference we may give it the name SBM Spring and Autumn effects. From the then available NASA data SBM Crisis Factor for cycle-23 was 12500 that indeed was quiet high. However, luckily the actual behavior of sun fell short of the predicted one. The maximum sunspots rose to 170 only in May 2000 against the predicted value of 234. There was also a secondary sunspot maximum of 150 in January 2003. Period above 80% maximum activity remained about 36 months, and rise time from minimum to maximum was also about 36 months. However, fall period from the max to the min is expected to prolong till end of 2007 i.e. about 60 months. Therefore the actual SBM Crisis Factor for cycle-23 was about 10000 i.e. 20% less than the predicted value. But even this is very high. For a relatively peaceful sunspot cycle SBM Crisis Factor should be about 5000 to 7000. Therefore, as predicted, the earthly events during the sunspot cycle-23 remained abnormally violent and world peace suffered very badly. It brought with it great misery, wars and terrorist attacks of untold magnitude rarely experienced in history. It began with the ghastly attack on World Trade Centre in New York, USA on 9-11-2001, which was the time of great turbulence in the Sun also. As reported in the media, (The News April 3, 2006 Islamabad) planning of attack had begun earlier in 1999. This is the period when sunspot activity had started rising sharply. By 29-3-2001 sunspot activity had reached its peak value of 170. Thereafter, for a short while, Sun experienced some calmness between May - July 2001. However SBM Autumn effects took over in August 2001, reaching their peak in September 2001, and we see the horror of WTC. Turbulent solar atmosphere and magnetic activity continued even thereafter. In this turbulent solar atmosphere on the 8th October 2001 USA attacked Afghanistan with unparallel ferocious bombing. In January 2003, Sun experienced another burst of Sunspot maximum of 150. This also corresponds to violent air attacks on Afghanistan and fall of Taliban regime. At the same time we also see building of sharp tension over Iraq, which reached to breaking point due to SBM Spring Effects. In this environment, Iraq was attacked from ground and air, in March 2003. The scientists expect the cycle to begin in late 2007 or early 2008, which is about 6 to 12 months later than a cycle would normally start, and is likely to reach its peak about 2012, and see its fall to minimum in 2017. However, research results by Drs. Leif Svalgaard and Yohsuke Kamide at the Solar-Terrestrial Environment Laboratory, Nagoya University (Japan) and Edward W.Cliver at the Space Vehicles Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Hanscom Air Force Base (Massachusetts) suggest that the Sun may remain less active during the next solar cycle. They predict that the next solar maximum may be associated with a sunspot number of only 75, with an error of + 8. (Ref.. Research News, http://www.spacew.com/news/05Mar2005/index.php). If they are right then the situation will be much more milder on earth than that of the cycle 23. From the above we see that so far long term predictions about cycle -24 are very uncertain. However my personal assessment supports NCAR. Historically it is seen that if the rate of fall from maximum to minimum of any cycle was slow then the following cycle has been generally much more turbulent than the previous one. Therefore, NCAR predictions are most likely to be true. In this case we expect very alarming events for the people on earth, beginning year 2008. In this case, the world is likely to experience awful political and military turmoil in the next twelve years, which after 2010 may get out of diplomatic and political hands and result into unprecedented wars over the globe. The crisis events could peak by 2012 and may remain at very dangerous situation for 2013 � 2016. Here we can see a parallel with the World War-I, exactly one century ago. In one sighting in January 1985, a man near Cardiff, Wales, was closing his living room curtains when he saw an object in the sky. THE CELL PHONE DOES NOT HAVE A FLASH. I tried duplicating the pictures with a digital camera and my cell phone, and this is definately NOT the result of a flash going off in the car. THe dirt on the windshield would be predominately lit. The best duplication I got was with my cell camera, in twilight, of a bright street light. THere seems to be a reflection on the road of the light. One could argue that the orb is a reflection of the light on the road, but I tried to duplicate that theory with oncoming headlights and it never looked anything like the photos. THe orb appears too bright in the actual photos. You can see the windshield (dirty) and the orb does not seem to be a reflection on the windshield. The gentleman's wife also reported seeing a green orb flying very close to her car along the same road about a year before. There is also a National Guard fighter wing stationed at the airport and as a fan of the military I always watch the skies in hopes of seeing fighter planes. These objects were long; cigar shaped and appeared to be shinny as if they were chrome plated. They looked to be moving faster than fighter jets but appeared to be small like they had a lot of altitude. At first I thought they were fighter planes until they made a sharp right (easterly) downward turn then they appeared to be tumbling end over end and twisting out of control towards the ground. Simultaneously as they neared the ground a third object flew directly over my truck and caught up with them. As the third object arrived they all stopped in an elongated triangle formation then appeared to move north again. Just as they began to move they disappeared from sight. Because of the size of the objects it looked as though they were very far away but when they began the tumble and connected with the third object it was clear they were much closer than I thought. I noticed there were three glowing disc-shapped objects in the sky that zig-zagged left and right in a forward motion. A distance behind the 3 was another one that trailed behind about the distance of the 3 that followed each other. We were in awe to have seen what we initially thought were balloons, but we started questioning why we heard the humming and why they moved in maticulous fashion. As we were returning home, my daughter said "What's that up in the sky?" We all turned to look, and I first noticed the moon, which looked pretty bright, and I saw a jet flying underneath it (going in opposite direction). At first I thought this is what she was talking about. My mother was also in the car and spotted what my daughter was seeing. It was then, that I looked to the right of the moon and saw the exact same thing I did nearly a month ago. I pulled off on a side road so my son could see it, he got out of the car, but it dissappeard from his line of view, by then it was already gone. I regretfully was not able to get any photos. This had the same long cylinder-like appearance as what I saw before. It was about 4:45 or so, and the sun had already started to set. The object was very bright white looking. We didn't notice wings or any flashing lights, just as in the incident before. This time it was heading south and did not seem to be moving nearly as fast, but still fast enough to not be able to get a good view before going over the tree tops. This object was nearly in the same area as where it was spotted before. No chem-trails, and we couldn't tell if it was making sound as we were in the car, and closer to the interstate. We pulled back onto the main road, and tried to catch up and see if we could spot it again, but it was already gone. I sure would like to know if others have seen this as well. As I approached the stop sign, I found myself underneath a huge triangle; it was about 100 feet above my head and had 3 lights in the rear, 3 lights in the center and as I drove under it further, it had 3 lights in the front. It was at least an 1/8 of a mile long and 100 feet across. As I passed the nearest intersection (Route 93), I finally was past it. I think I was in shock as I continued to drive to my son's school; I picked him up and as I drove back to my house, I hoped it would still be there, however it was gone. When I got home I told my mom; I must have been convincing, because she beleived me. After that, every clear night I saw a star shaped object, sometimes 3. however I new in my heart these were no stars. This continued evey clear night I could see well into the sky; these things were preety stationary and moved from south to north over the course of the night. Then I started seeing objects flying away from the stationary objects with blinking lights, almost like planes except they flew erractly and eventually flew below the tree lines. Two nights ago I decided to look at them through my son's binoculars and confirmed what I knew in my heart, they're not stars, they're triangular shaped and blue at the top white in the middle and towards the bottom and red at the tail. The objects that leave them are blimp shaped and the entire object blinks lights in a spike pattern, the spikes being white and red. I'm actually looking at them while I'm typing this letter! I'm disabled, therefore poor and can not afford to buy a telescope and have no means of taking pictures. I assure you that this is no hoax and I'm asking you to bring your eqiptment on any clear night and you will crap your pants!!! What freaks me out is that Niagara Falls has a huge airbase and can't beleive no one is reporting this! It's also over the general vacinity of Southern Ontario, Canada, these people must be seeing what I'm seeing; why isn't anyone saying anything???????? I'm 51 years old and as sane as they come! I have a 150 IQ and I'm as honest as Abe Lincoln! This goes on EVERY clear night and the event lasts all night, therefore the bags under my eyes!! Standing there for a few seconds, I could discern they were actually moving in a direction along a major city street, Morganford, just on the other side of it from me, where there is a blocks sized historic city cemetery. The lights seemed to be bobbing in the gentle but steady wind that was also moving along that direction. I noted to my friend who was standing with her back to that in the yard, that I wondered if they were Chinese lanterns, many being reported in England during late Spring and early Summer there. Neither of us have ever seen them, only pictures, but each orange light looked like a tongue of fire. We both agreed that each seemed to not have a distinct outline, but was in the shape of a "campfire" including intensity of color and brightness of the "flame," but the "fire" didn't flickr. It was more like it was light being emitted from the base of the "fire" making the "flame." They moved along, if a car, at 5 to 10 miles per hour, and appeared to be directly over the cemetery as they went by. They slowly ascended from about 15 degrees initially to about 45 degrees when they passed right by the house. When they were approaching close to the house, each of them "vibrated" at a different time within a few seconds of each other, not at the same place in the sky, nor in sequence. The middle, the first then last fire oscillated perpendicular to the direction it was going, several times in succession per each oscillation, at least three times its length in each oscillated direction. I've never heard of a crosswind making Chinese lanterns oscillate that way, nor not an external structure around the internal flame. Also, just as they passed the house, the clouds right by them light up with lighting bolts visible within them but made no sound! It was the only lightening we saw all night. They then seemed to start to ascend at a much faster rate and were either dimming out or getting closer to the clouds, at which point we stopped looking at them. case number 20258...
